BLACK BOAT SURVIVES THE STORM is a rare direction in my painting.

Without intending to, some of my abstract paintings evolve into narratives!

When Black Boat suddenly appeared it became the central theme of a new story painting.

Then a beautiful cradle of water evolved to hold Black Boat.

The shimmer of feather like exuberance that burst out all around had such a strong feeling

of regneration and rebirth that it needed grounding.

The small pensive figure of a woman in white looking out from a kind of balcony

and the wrecked boats in the bottom right completed the narrative of survival against a post storm sunset.
